One-on-One Career Coaching:

Attendees at AAMI eXchange 2025 who are looking to improve their resume and enhance their job search can sign-up for a personal 30-minute career coaching session on Saturday and Sunday June 21st and 22nd. There is limited space. If you have your resume ready, you can share it during your individual session, and feedback will be provided on areas such as formatting, content, language, and overall effectiveness in showcasing your skills and experiences.

Below is an outline of what can be discussed during your individual meeting:

  1. Introduction to Resumes: The purpose of a resume and why it’s important in the job search process will be explained.
  2. Resume Formatting: Discuss best practices for resume formatting, including layout, font choice, and spacing. Emphasize the importance of readability and clarity.
  3. Sections of a Resume: Break down the different sections of a resume, such as contact information, summary/objective, work experience, education, skills, and additional sections like certifications or volunteer experience.
  4. Writing Effective Content: Provide tips for writing effective content for each section of the resume, including using action verbs, quantifying achievements, and tailoring the resume to the job description.
  5. Overall career coaching to help guide individual to identify career goals, developing necessary skills, and navigating career transitions.
  6. Closing: Summarize the key points covered in the session.

By covering these topics, you should come away from the meeting with a better understanding of how to create a strong resume that effectively showcases your qualifications and experiences.
